The farmhouse Macelle is situated at the foot of the Pratomagno mountains in a peaceful valley surrounded by forests and with a beautiful view over the medieval village of Castiglion Fibocchi.

This isolated house is perfect for quiet holidays in the heart of Tuscany, comfortably hosting four guests with use of an extra childrens cot upon request.
On the ground floor there are a large sitting room with open fireplace, kitchen and dining area, one bedroom and bathroom with a shower unit. Upstairs is the large master bedroom with en-suite bathroom (including bath-tub).
The house is furnished throughout with antique furniture and decorated with Tuscan artwork.
In front of the house is a spacious garden leading onto woods and fields, in the back is a stonebuilt barbecue for meals al-fresco.

In the main house, in which I live, I offer another apartment for rent. Spacious, with a large kitchen, sitting room with fireplace, one bedroom and bathroom, easily accomodating two guests (it is also possible for a cot to be put in the apartment if needed). This apartment has its own privat garden equipped with furniture, a stone table and wonderful views over files of Tuscany’s famous Cypress trees.

By car it takes only two minutes to reach the local village for shopping,where there are also two pizzerias and three bars. The city of Arezzo is only fifteen minutes away, although small Arezzo has much to offer for visitors either sight-seeing or shopping. Home of the famous frescoes of Piero della Francesca and world reknowned for the monthly antique fair (the first weekend of every month) and antique stores. Florence, Siena and Cortona are approximately an hour drive away, Perugia is one and a half, and Rome two hours, by car or train. The area is full of places to visit and explore, this particular part of Tuscany still maintaining its authenticity gives the traveller unique opportunities to enjoy Italian life at its best – one finds exquisite restaurants and trattorias in almost every tiny village. Living directly from the house guests can set off on walking tours trough some of the most peaceful and notably beautiful Tuscan countryside.
